I would like to have my own database structure rather than jackrabbit creates it for me. Yes, we can have our own BundleDbPersistenceManager kind of Manager to do the same. But is there already something available in jackrabbit to configure on our own.Deepak Singhvihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04857569060749773854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583720.post-29984851067677829352008-10-11T11:29:00.000-07:002008-10-11T11:29:00.000-07:00Hi Nitin, FWIW, I tried building my own Persistenc...Hi Nitin, FWIW, I tried building my own PersistenceManager by extending DatabasePersistenceManager but gave up halfway, once I realized I was trying to do something that fundamentally goes against what Jackrabbit is trying to provide. The power of Jackrabbit depends a lot on automatic serialization of user datatypes to the underlying default blob based storage. The structure in this storage Sujit Palhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06835223352394332155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583720.post-17761395516449465862008-10-04T17:15:00.000-07:002008-10-04T17:15:00.000-07:00Hi There,Does anyone has a sample code for creatin...Hi There,<BR/><BR/>Does anyone has a sample code for creating a custom Persistence Manager. I would be interested in using DDLs if possible to generate a database schema. We might need to have the DDL scripts beforehand so that we could standardize the release procedure, is there a way I can define DDL scripts for JackRabbit?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583720.post-6358680941568425542008-05-31T15:22:00.000-07:002008-05-31T15:22:00.000-07:00Thank you for the info, I did not know that. We ended up abandoning this in favor of our current table driven approach where the tables are named according to a particular convention. Maybe when we look at this problem the next time around I will try to implement a custom Sujit Palhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06835223352394332155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7583720.post-38146752622549556552008-05-30T16:17:00.000-07:002008-05-30T16:17:00.000-07:00Ran across your article via Google. You can then define the table structure however you want - you don't have to use Blobs if you don't want.<BR/><BR/>I'm currently doing the same thing but finding the documentation for Jackrabbit internals and the SPI almost non-existent.
